A two-year-old child was killed in Kyiv as a result of a morning UAV attack

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on the consequences of the attack.

In the Obolon district, an enemy UAV crashed in an open area near a public park. The explosion damaged the park’s landscaping and the windows of a restaurant.

A two-year-old child was injured when the drone crashed. Doctors tried to save her life, but the girl died in the hospital from her injuries.

According to the mayor, a total of five people were injured in the capital as a result of the morning attack. Medical personnel treated four of them at the scene, and an 18-year-old girl was hospitalized.

Consequences in Other Areas of the Capital

The consequences of the enemy attack were also recorded in three other districts of the city:

• Svyatoshyn District: A private home was damaged by falling UAV debris (two people received medical assistance at the scene). Rescuers also extinguished a fire in an apartment on the 9th floor of a residential building; no one was injured.
• Holosiivskyi District: A drone crash caused a fire on the roof of a two-story warehouse. There were no casualties.
• Podilskyi District: A drone strike on a non-residential building was recorded. State Emergency Service rescuers extinguished a fire in the building that had broken out in two separate areas.

Emergency and utility services continue to operate at all locations; information regarding the consequences of the shelling is being clarified.

As a reminder, on the night of August 29—beginning at 6:00 p.m. on August 28—Russia attacked Ukraine with an “Onyx” anti-ship missile, an “Iskander-M” ballistic missile, and 267 Shahed-type attack drones, including jet-powered ones.

And on the morning of August 29, a 14-year-old girl was killed as a result of a Russian strike in the Boryspil district.
