Residential buildings are on fire in Lviv following a rocket attack; the number of casualties has risen

This was reported by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

Update, 9:46 a.m.:

Two people may still be trapped under the rubble in Lviv. According to the mayor, 23 people have sought medical attention, 13 are in hospitals, and one person is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, according to the Lviv Regional Military Administration, three people may be trapped under the rubble. The administration also noted that the oldest victim is 93 years old, and the youngest is a 6-year-old boy. Three children are believed to have been injured.

Update, 8:54 a.m.:

The Regional State Administration noted that there are already 30 casualties as a result of the enemy’s attack on the city.

For his part, the mayor clarified that a rocket struck a residential building directly on Vyhovskyi Street. The unexploded ordnance has already been neutralized. Work to safely remove it is underway.

Update, 8:28 a.m.:

The number of casualties from the rocket attack on Lviv has risen to 26. Fifteen people have been hospitalized. Children are among the victims. One of them is in the hospital.

Update, 8:14 a.m.:

According to Andriy Sadovyi, there are already about 20 people injured in Lviv as a result of the Russian missile strike. Two residential buildings on Paton and Vyhovsky Streets sustained the most damage. Rescue workers continue to free people from under the rubble. More than 20 residential buildings, a school, and two kindergartens were also damaged.

Update, 7:18 a.m.:

The number of casualties from the rocket attack on Lviv has risen to 15. Fourteen people have been hospitalized, including one rescue worker.

Earlier, following the explosions in Lviv, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported preliminary damage to residential buildings.

After the air raid siren ended, Maksym Kozytskyi reported that reports of casualties were coming in. Later, Sadovyi clarified that, according to preliminary data, six people were injured as a result of enemy shelling at two locations in the city.
