On the night of August 23, a Russian attack drone struck private homes in the Osnovyanskyi district of Kharkiv. According to preliminary reports, four people were injured.

On the evening of August 22, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv with a “Shahed”-type attack drone. A 46-year-old man was injured in the attack and was hospitalized.

Russian forces launched a strike with six drones overnight on the village of Lebyazhe in the Kharkiv region. Two women were killed in the attack, and two others were wounded.

On the night of August 21, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Sumy. According to preliminary reports, at least two people were injured, and the strikes hit four locations.

On August 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed four decrees imposing new sanctions against Russian companies, officials, and other individuals. The restrictions target suppliers to Russia’s military-industrial complex, non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises, collaborators, and individuals involved in Russian propaganda.

In Kyiv, an audiovisual art installation titled “The Future Remembers,” dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day, has been launched at the “Motherland” monument. The five-minute projection will be shown every evening from August 21 to September 1, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

As a result of the Russian drone attack on the regional capital, one person was killed and others were injured; damage to buildings was also reported.

In the first half of August, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had shot down at least 25 Ukrainian “Flamingo” missiles, which is more than in all of July.

On the evening of August 16, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Sumy using strike drones. According to preliminary reports, one person was injured.

On the night of August 14–15, Russian sources reported a strike on the Savasleika military airfield in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, where MiG-31K fighters—carriers of “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles—are based. In Samara, there was also reportedly a strike on one of the industrial facilities.
