A fire broke out in Sochi following a series of explosions: Russian air defense systems may have been damaged

On the night of September 4, residents of Sochi reported numerous explosions, after which a fire broke out near the village of Sirius. Based on an analysis of eyewitness footage, a monitoring channel speculates that the fire may have started near the location of a Russian anti-aircraft missile system.
This was reported by ASTRA.
According to the channel, the fire broke out near the Psou River, on the border with Abkhazia. Based on geolocation data and analysis of the released videos, ASTRA speculates that an S-300 or S-400 complex is located nearby.
Footage shared by monitoring channels shows an explosion and a fire. However, there is currently no independent confirmation that an air defense system was specifically targeted.
Additionally, the Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported a possible attack on an oil depot in Sochi. According to the channel, this facility was already targeted about a year ago.
As a reminder, it was reported yesterday that the Russian “Kasta” radar station in the Vyshneve area of Zaporizhzhia Oblast had been confirmed to have been struck. According to the General Staff, on September 1, strike drones hit the complex’s antenna and control station.
