Ballistic strike on "Kametstal" in Kamyanske: Five workers killed; the plant has suspended operations

Five employees of the "Kametstal" steel mill were killed in a ballistic missile attack on Kamyanske, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, on the night of September 5. The search for one more employee of the plant is ongoing.

This was reported by Musa Magomedov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.

According to him, Russian troops fired five ballistic missiles at the city, one of the targets being a major industrial facility. As a result of the damage, the plant—which is part of the Metinvest Group—was forced to completely halt production.

Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the strike. Five workers have been confirmed dead so far. The fate of one other employee remains unknown; only his personal belongings were found at the site of the attack.

In light of the civilian casualties resulting from the hostile shelling, the Kamyanske City Council declared September 5 a Day of Mourning in the city.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that four people were killed as a result of an enemy strike on an industrial facility in Kamyanske on the night of September 5. Five more people sustained injuries of varying severity.
