Ukraine is Prepared to Refrain from Striking Moscow until the end of Monday, – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is prepared to temporarily refrain from striking Moscow as part of the agreement to suspend airstrikes during the negotiation process and expects Russia to likewise refrain from striking Kyiv.
He announced this on his Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy noted that he had a conversation with representatives of the U.S. President, who, according to him, “have already begun working with the Russian side today.”
From the moment of our conversation, we are prepared to adhere to a ceasefire on airstrikes against cities involved in the peace process. From now until the end of this day on Saturday, as well as on Sunday and Monday, Ukraine is prepared to refrain from strikes on Moscow, and we expect the Russians to do the same regarding Kyiv

The president also reported on briefings by Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi regarding the situation on the front lines, the evolving threats in Ukrainian airspace, and Ukraine’s active defensive operations.
Separately, Zelenskyy stated that the plan for diplomatic events on Sunday in Kyiv involving the American delegation has already been approved. He is awaiting Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and is ready for a substantive discussion.
As a reminder, on September 4, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would not carry out airstrikes for the duration of the visit by U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Russia, and expects Moscow to reciprocate with a “ceasefire.”
Later, on September 5, the Kremlin announced that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin had ordered that no strikes be carried out against Kyiv from September 5 to 8.
