The president noted that the enemy is attacking food warehouses and gas stations, pharmaceutical plants and regular passenger trains, residential buildings and civilian enterprises.

In particular, in recent days alone, a steel mill owned by an Indian company, an American sunflower oil production facility, and a Polish company that manufactured plumbing fixtures have come under Russian attack.

Russian troops have also attacked truck parking lots, ports, shopping centers, and energy facilities.

The president emphasized that the goal of these strikes is to weaken the Ukrainian economy in order to break the country’s resistance.

As a reminder, Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that this year Ukraine has prepared more thoroughly for enemy attacks on its energy sector than it did last winter. According to him, the country is already preparing for a possible intensification of attacks on energy infrastructure this winter and has developed a regional resilience plan.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needs 100–120 missiles for its Patriot systems to successfully weather the winter and defend against Russian ballistic strikes. The president also added that he is discussing the possibility of missile deliveries with countries in the Middle East.
