On the night of September 12, ten regions of Ukraine came under Russian attack. Since the start of the day, Ukrainian defenders have shot down more than 200 aerial targets, but the attacks have resulted in casualties.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel.
He noted that emergency rescue and search operations are ongoing in Odesa at the site of a high-rise building damaged by a Russian missile. Thirty-seven people were injured. Rescuers are continuing to search for two more people who are currently considered missing.
Also this morning, Russian troops attacked a hotel in Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast, with a drone. Eleven people were injured, six of whom have limited mobility.
Zelenskyy stated that in the Zaporizhzhia region, two people were killed and six others were injured as a result of a “Shahed” strike on residential buildings. There were also casualties from a strike on a facility in Zaporizhzhia.
In Kryvyi Rih, the enemy launched a missile strike on a critical infrastructure facility. One person was killed, and three others were injured.
Two more people were injured in the Kyiv region.
According to the president, 10 regions of Ukraine were targeted by Russian strikes last night. Russian attack drones are still being detected in many regions.
There were renewed strikes on regular gas stations in the Zhytomyr and Rivne regions, as well as on a locomotive depot in the Odesa region

Zelenskyy emphasized that since the start of this day, the Ukrainian military has shot down more than 200 aerial targets, but, unfortunately, not all of them.
And when the Russians so blatantly turn ordinary people into targets of their terrorist attacks, it is regrettable that the response from world leaders does not match the level of Russian escalation. A dignified response—one that truly has a chance to stop the killings and protect people—is always a collective effort. I am grateful to everyone who is helping Ukraine with anti-ballistic defense. To everyone who is putting tangible pressure on Russia. And to everyone who is helping Ukrainian men and women, wherever they may be

As a reminder, on the morning of September 12, Russian forces carried out a massive missile and drone attack on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings in Odesa and Chornomorsk were damaged. Numerous people were injured as a result of the enemy shelling.
Also, on the night of September 12, Russian forces launched another ballistic missile strike on the territory of the Zaporizhstal steel mill. Four employees of the plant were injured when four missiles struck the facility.
