Enemy terror in the south: more than two dozen people injured in the Kherson region; the Mykolaiv region was attacked by “Shahed” drones and FPV drones

Over the past day, Russian occupation forces continued to launch massive attacks on populated areas in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The enemy used aircraft, heavy artillery, and various types of drones to strike civilian infrastructure and residential neighborhoods.

This is reported in briefings by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, and Georgy Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Kherson Region: A Large Number of Casualties and Significant Damage

In the Kherson region, more than 40 settlements, including the regional capital, came under enemy airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery shelling.

Russian forces struck critical and social infrastructure facilities, as well as residential areas.

As a result of the shelling in the region:

  • 1 person was killed;
  • 26 people were injured, including one child;
  • 10 apartment buildings and 15 private homes were damaged;
  • gas stations, a supermarket, a cell tower, a museum, and private vehicles were damaged.

Mykolaiv Region: Attacks by “Shahed,” “Molniya,” and FPV Drones

In the Mykolaiv region, communities in the Bashtanka and Mykolaiv districts came under attack. In total, attacks by “Shahed,” “Molniya,” and FPV strike drones were recorded over the past 24 hours.

According to the Regional Military Administration:

  • in the Bashtanka District, a private home and the roof of a warehouse were damaged by strikes, and a fire broke out in dry grass;
  • in the Mykolaiv District, an enemy drone damaged a private residential house;
  • a nighttime attack by “Shahed” drones caused no damage.

No civilian casualties or injuries were reported in the Mykolaiv region.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, on July 31, Russian occupation forces carried out over a thousand strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, using aircraft, drones, artillery, and multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of the shelling, there was one fatality and several injuries among the civilian population.
