Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia had prepared for a massive strike several days ago and that there is a high probability it will be carried out tonight.
He announced this on his Telegram channel.
The president made a statement about the possibility of a massive strike following a report from Air Force Commander Anatoliy Kryvonozhko.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that protecting people’s lives directly depends on the willingness of partners to provide missiles for air defense systems. This applies first and foremost to the United States and those countries that have missiles for the Patriot system.

The president urged all citizens in every region of Ukraine to heed air raid alerts and stay safe.
As a reminder, during a meeting in Washington, Zelenskyy asked Trump to provide Kyiv with missiles for the Patriot air defense systems—an emergency “winter package.” Ukraine aims to assemble 300 interceptor missiles before the start of winter.
On his way back from Washington, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders focused on preparations for the coming winter, particularly the need for new aid packages for air defense and the energy sector, areas in which Paris has pledged to assist.
