As a result of a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen. Dozens more were injured, and residential and civilian infrastructure was damaged in a number of regions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.

According to the president, cleanup efforts following the Russian attack have been ongoing since last night in many cities and communities. In Kyiv and the surrounding region alone, nearly 350 rescue workers have been deployed.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia used a significant number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles. The strikes resulted in damage to residential and civilian infrastructure.

A total of 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen, and dozens more were wounded as a result of the attack. My condolences go out to everyone who has lost family members and loved ones

Volodymyr ZelenskyyPresident of Ukraine

The President emphasized that Russia calculates its strikes in such a way as to inflict maximum damage on the civilian population and infrastructure.

Russia always plans its strikes precisely to wreak maximum destruction on people’s lives, and it succeeds in doing so only when air defense capabilities are insufficient

Volodymyr ZelenskyyPresident of Ukraine

As a reminder, on the night of September 1, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on the Kyiv region using missiles and attack drones. In Boryspil, a residential building and a business were damaged, and there were fatalities and injuries.
