Speeding up the delivery of the latest French equipment and missiles: Zelenskyy spoke with Macron

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a nearly two-hour conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The leaders discussed strengthening air defense, arms supplies, and further diplomatic efforts.
Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
It is noted that the key topic of the conversation was Ukraine’s need for air defense systems. Zelenskyy stated that France is ready to assist in communicating with other partners who have the necessary missiles for the Patriot systems. The parties also discussed France’s air defense capabilities.
According to the President of Ukraine, the parties agreed to expedite the delivery of the latest French equipment and missiles. Macron also confirmed France’s readiness to grant Ukraine licenses to manufacture missiles.
In addition, the leaders discussed diplomatic efforts with international partners and communication with the U.S. president’s team. The parties identified steps that could open up additional diplomatic opportunities.
The presidents also discussed Ukraine’s defense funding needs for this year and next and identified a number of bilateral defense agreements that need to be expedited.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy had previously met with former U.S. Special Representative to Ukraine Keith Kellogg, who arrived in Kyiv from Odesa to participate in the Veterans Forum. During the meeting, the parties discussed the intensification of Russian strikes and anti-ballistic measures.
In addition, the President of Ukraine held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. The parties discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and support for Ukrainians ahead of the winter season, as well as the work of teams on the “Drone Deal” agreement.
