Over the past week, Russian occupation forces have carried out an intense campaign of aerial terror against Ukraine’s civilian population and infrastructure. Sixteen Ukrainian regions came under enemy attack, with more than half a thousand destroyed facilities recorded.
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Scale of Hostile Attacks Over the Past Week
According to the head of state, in just one week, the Russian army fired a staggering number of weapons at Ukrainian cities and villages:
- nearly 1,900 attack drones;
- about 1,600 guided aerial bombs (GABs);
- 144 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles.
As a result of these attacks, more than 1,500 structures were damaged or destroyed, including hundreds of ordinary residential buildings.
Zelenskyy once again emphasized that a significant portion of Russian enterprises that manufacture components for drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs have not yet been subject to international sanctions. Because of this, the aggressor is currently attempting to ramp up its ballistic missile production.
The President stressed that stopping Russian attacks is possible only through systematic and uncompromising pressure on the aggressor’s military machine.
Pressure must be applied to every link in the defense industry chain, and it is precisely this pressure that will ultimately help reduce the number of attacks against our people. Sanctions must be expanded and made effective
