Massive ballistic strike on Kyiv: the number of wounded has risen to 30, a police officer is among the nine dead

This is according to reports from the Kyiv National Police and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

According to updated information from law enforcement, nine people were killed as a result of the enemy attack, including a police officer who was on duty.

Thirty residents of the capital sustained injuries of varying severity, including four children aged 13, 14, and 17. As of this morning, 17 of the wounded are in city hospitals, where they are receiving all necessary medical care.

Extent of damage in seven city districts

The following structures have been officially confirmed as damaged or destroyed:

• 18 apartment buildings and private homes;
• 2 educational institutions;
• a medical clinic, supermarkets, stores, and an administrative building;
• a car wash and private vehicles.

In addition, cleanup efforts are ongoing at the Kyivmedspetstrans facility, where two direct hits partially destroyed four buildings, five ambulances were completely burned, and another 20 specialized medical service vehicles sustained significant damage.

Mobile police checkpoints have been set up near all impact sites and debris fall zones in seven districts of Kyiv.

Emergency rescue services, medical personnel, and bomb disposal experts continue to work at the scenes.

As a reminder, on the night of August 1, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Nine people are known to have died and more than 20 injured. Fires, destruction, and falling debris were reported in various districts of the capital.
