Russia attacked a major revenue-generating enterprise with German investment in the Zhytomyr region: operations have been suspended

This was reported by Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, citing an official statement from the company’s management.

According to the company, the Russian attack caused significant damage to the plant’s production facilities and infrastructure. However, none of the employees were injured.

The company stated that due to the scale of the damage, it is forced to temporarily suspend operations for an indefinite period. The timeline for restoration will be determined after the completion of a technical assessment and the establishment of the full scope of necessary restoration work.

Bunechko added that the consequences of the attack were contained by the State Emergency Service. A law enforcement investigative team is working at the site. Additionally, the Regional State Administration, together with local government bodies, is exploring possible ways to assist the company and its investor.

As a reminder, on July 30, the Russian military launched a missile and drone strike on the Zhytomyr region. The injured were taken to the hospital, and social infrastructure was damaged. During the enemy attack in the Korosten District of Zhytomyr Oblast, one of the agricultural enterprises was hit.
