Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv: debris fell on the grounds of a high school; students will be transferred to neighboring schools

UPDATE 1:44 p.m.

The Kyiv City State Administration’s press office reported that in the Shevchenkivskyi district, children from the gymnasium damaged in today’s attack will be transferred to neighboring schools.

It is noted that due to significant damage, the gymnasium’s premises will not be ready in time for September 1. Parents have already been informed about the possibility of transferring their children.

UPDATE 08:55.

According to the Kyiv police, damage was reported in the Desnianskyi, Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city as a result of the overnight Russian attack.

Residential buildings, cars, the gymnasium, and a medical facility were damaged. There were no casualties.

UPDATE 8:25 a.m. According to Vitali Klitschko, as a result of the nighttime attack on the capital, the building of one of the high schools in the Shevchenkivskyi district was significantly damaged.

The blast wave shattered windows at a public healthcare facility.

In the Podilsky district, debris fell into the courtyards of residential buildings.

There are no reported casualties at this time.

UPDATE 5:00 a.m. In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen on the grounds of an educational institution. Details regarding possible consequences and casualties are being clarified.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris was reported to have fallen in the courtyard of a residential building in the Podilskyi district. Information regarding casualties and potential damage is currently being verified.

As a reminder, on the night of August 25, a 16-story residential building in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district was damaged when debris from a Russian drone fell on it. In an apartment on the 14th floor, part of the walls were destroyed and the windows were shattered. A woman was injured and received outpatient medical care.
