Russia attacked the Odesa region with missiles and drones

On the night of August 9, Russian forces attacked Odesa and the Odesa region with ballistic missiles and drones. According to preliminary reports, the attack damaged residential buildings and infrastructure.
This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
Overnight, the Ukrainian Air Force repeatedly reported missile activity heading toward Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Mayaky. The military also warned of several groups of attack drones entering from the Black Sea.
As of 4:02 a.m., the Air Force reported another ballistic threat to the Odesa region and the movement of drones toward Mayaky.
Lysak noted that details regarding the consequences of the attack are still being determined.
As a reminder, on August 7, Russian troops attacked Odesa. The strike damaged the “Chornomorets” stadium, and two people were injured. The blast wave and debris damaged the arena’s roof, windows, and stands.
