Construction of new industrial facilities is underway in the “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan. Several large buildings have already been completed in the southern part of the economic zone, while some of the other structures are still under construction.
This is stated in a report by Dnipro Osint, based on open-source intelligence and geospatial intelligence.
Satellite images show at least five large, elongated structures. Internal roads and access roads have been built nearby, and construction of additional structures is ongoing on adjacent plots.
The exact purpose of the new facilities has not yet been determined.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that over the past week, Russia had deployed nearly 3,900 air-attack weapons against Ukraine. According to him, this includes approximately 2,100 attack drones, nearly 1,700 guided bombs, and 78 missiles. Russia has also significantly increased its use of new jet-powered drones.
