A fire destroyed a Red Cross warehouse in Kherson: humanitarian supplies worth 28 million hryvnia were lost

On the evening of August 23, a Russian drone attack caused a fire at a Ukrainian Red Cross warehouse in Kherson, where humanitarian aid for the local population was being stored.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The fire destroyed and damaged supplies worth nearly 28 million hryvnias. Among the lost aid were materials for preparing for the fall and winter and for responding quickly to the effects of shelling.
Specifically, the warehouse stored materials for temporarily covering damaged buildings, medical supplies, blankets, hygiene kits, as well as equipment to provide people with water and electricity.
No Ukrainian Red Cross staff members or volunteers were harmed.
Despite the loss of humanitarian supplies, the Ukrainian Red Cross continues its work in Kherson and the region. Teams continue to respond to the aftermath of the attacks and provide necessary assistance to people
