A protest march took place in the capital, calling for Mykhailo Fedorov to be reinstated as Ukraine’s defense minister and for him to be given a year to complete key defense reforms.
The 16th day of rallies was the largest since the start of the protest series.
According to organizers’ estimates, up to 15,000 people joined the march in Kyiv at any given moment. The exact number of participants in similar demonstrations in other Ukrainian cities is currently being determined.
Protesters marched through the city’s central streets along a route from the Taras Shevchenko monument to Ivan Franko Square.
Former military officer Dmytro Koziatynskyi, addressing those present, thanked them for their high level of engagement and emphasized the main message of the mass event:
“You are simply incredible. Let me remind you that this march is, first and foremost, about communication, dialogue, and reforms. It is about ensuring that our country has a vision.”

Although an air raid alert was sounded in the city during the march, most protesters continued marching. The organizers stressed that such alerts should not be ignored.
It is worth noting that Mykhailo Fedorov responded to the protests by stating that he would not betray the public's trust.
As a reminder, protest organizer and veteran Dmytro Koziatynskyi had previously announced a large protest march calling for dialogue and reforms on July 31. In Kyiv, it will start near the Shevchenko monument and end at Ivan Franko Square; other cities in Ukraine are also planning to gather at their respective locations.
