Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia has established three rings of air defense around Moscow by deploying air defense systems from various regions of the country. At the same time, North Korea is gaining experience in modern warfare under Russia’s guidance.

Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary reports indicate one fatality and 11 injuries. A private home, high-rise buildings, and warehouse facilities were hit.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the servicemen of the Ukrainian Air Force and presented them with state awards. He emphasized that Ukraine had managed to preserve and strengthen its air force, preventing Russia from gaining control over Ukrainian airspace.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that Russian troops attacked the city 109 times in July, with nearly half of the strikes carried out by FPV drones. In total, eight people were killed as a result of the shelling during the month, including one child, and another 217 people, including 24 children, were injured.

Russian forces have attacked four districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 50 times using drones and guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed and 12 others were wounded, including a child.

On the evening of August 1, an enemy FPV drone struck a passenger minibus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Civilian passengers were on board at the time of the attack.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that today’s Russian strikes on civilian targets in Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia “constitute deliberate acts of terror and have no military justification whatsoever.” He also called on international partners to tighten sanctions against Russia.
