“We will respond to every Russian strike”: Zelenskyy announced new contracts for air defense

Nighttime Attacks on Ukraine

According to the president, restoration work is ongoing following the Russian strike on Odesa and the surrounding region. As of this morning, more than 300,000 households remained without power; currently, about one-third of consumers have had their power restored. There were also issues with the water supply.

He also mentioned strikes on Kharkiv and the surrounding region, Pavlohrad, Kherson, the Sumy region, and the Zhytomyr region, and emphasized the need to provide aid to the affected regions.

Response to Russian Attacks

Throughout the day, the head of state heard reports from the prime minister and held talks with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty. The parties discussed the defense of Ukrainian cities and further retaliatory strikes against Russia.

The President added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Security Service of Ukraine are continuing their operation against the Russian oil refining industry. The Ukrainian military has also struck Russian anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations, as well as Russian infrastructure targets in the Azov and Black Sea regions.

New Contacts with Mediators

Zelenskyy stated that next week Ukraine will hold new talks with mediators regarding the steps and proposals the country needs. Specifically, these talks will focus on aid packages for air defense.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that Russia had established three rings of air defense around Moscow by redeploying air defense systems from various regions of the country. At the same time, North Korea is gaining experience in modern warfare under Russia’s guidance. The president also noted that following Russia’s strikes on Ukrainian logistics, Ukraine carried out a counter-logistics operation, inflicting, in his words, losses amounting to one trillion rubles.
