The "Orlivka" border crossing in the Izmail District of Odesa Oblast is temporarily closed due to an airstrike by the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the Operational Headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration.

According to the headquarters, during the attack, the enemy struck the district’s border infrastructure. The checkpoint has temporarily suspended operations.

Further updates on changes to the operation of the “Orlivka” checkpoint will be provided.

This is not the first attack by Russia on border crossing points in the Odesa region. On August 21, the “Tabaky” crossing on the border with Moldova temporarily ceased operations due to a Russian drone strike. The day before, on August 20, Russian troops also attacked a border crossing in the Odesa region. It was later reported that the “Vynogradivka–Vulkeniște” crossing had also been struck, after which traffic and customs procedures there were suspended.
