On the night of August 2, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of precision strikes against key military and logistical facilities of the Russian occupation forces in Crimea and on Russian territory.

In the first seven months of 2026, Russian attacks destroyed 37 gas stations belonging to the Naftogaz Group’s network. Some of the facilities have been repaired, while the rest remain destroyed and out of service.

On the morning of August 3, Ukrainian drones struck yet another strategic facility belonging to the Russian e-commerce platform Wildberries—this time in the Vladimir Region of the Russian Federation.

In Belgorod, Russia, a fire broke out in a building at the V. G. Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University following a nighttime drone attack.

A Russian attack drone struck a gas station in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. A fire broke out at the scene, and all relevant emergency services are on the scene.

Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary reports indicate one fatality and 11 injuries. A private home, high-rise buildings, and warehouse facilities were hit.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the servicemen of the Ukrainian Air Force and presented them with state awards. He emphasized that Ukraine had managed to preserve and strengthen its air force, preventing Russia from gaining control over Ukrainian airspace.

Heorgiy Tykhyy, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s statement that Ukraine’s western territories could be seized by its western neighbors.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that Russian troops attacked the city 109 times in July, with nearly half of the strikes carried out by FPV drones. In total, eight people were killed as a result of the shelling during the month, including one child, and another 217 people, including 24 children, were injured.

Since early July, as part of the special operation “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off,” Ukrainian UAV operators have targeted 177 energy facilities belonging to the occupying forces in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine.
