Ukraine's attack

On the night of August 22, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities at the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation. The attack caused a fire to break out on the refinery’s grounds.

As a result of Russian air defense systems, a 50-hectare forest fire broke out near occupied Yalta. Firefighters have been trying to contain the blaze for three days now.

On the night of August 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Perm, Russia, and the “Marinovka” military airfield in the Volgograd Region of the Russian Federation.

On the morning of August 19, drones struck the Russian region of Bashkortostan. The attack damaged a production facility at an oil refinery. 

In June, the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted losses on the Russian army amounting to nearly $5 for every dollar spent on striking targets.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck one of Russia’s largest chemical plants, which produces gunpowder for ammunition. On the night of August 16, the “Kamensky Plant” in the Rostov Region was attacked.  

On the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Navy struck the launch sites and deployment locations of the Russian “Bastion” coastal missile system in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian forces have disabled seven of the ten largest logistics centers belonging to the Russian marketplace Wildberries.

On the night of August 15–16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key enemy military and industrial targets, including a rocket fuel production plant located in Russia, as well as the occupiers’ logistics facilities and warehouses in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

On the night of Friday, August 15, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of long-range strikes against strategic targets within the Russian Federation. In particular, one of the key facilities within Roscosmos – the Progress Center in the Samara Region – was hit.
