Explosions were heard in the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels on the night of August 2. According to Russian Telegram channels, a fire broke out at an oil refinery in Saratov, as well as in the city’s industrial zone. Reports indicate that the attack is ongoing.

Russia has likely begun using captured Ukrainian long-range drones for potential “false-flag” operations. This theory is supported by new footage released by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an adviser to the President of Ukraine, as well as a series of incidents that previously raised concerns in Poland and Moldova.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on international partners to approve the transfer of additional missiles to Ukraine for its Patriot air defense systems and to intensify sanctions against Russia.

During the day, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the Central District of Kherson. A 54-year-old woman was killed in the attack, and 19 other people were injured.

Russian forces have attacked four districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 50 times using drones and guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed and 12 others were wounded, including a child.

On the evening of August 1, an enemy FPV drone struck a passenger minibus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Civilian passengers were on board at the time of the attack.

Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a series of strikes against key military and logistical facilities of the Russian occupiers. As a result of these operations, critical supply routes and reconnaissance assets were disrupted, and expensive Russian military equipment was destroyed in southern Ukraine and in occupied Crimea.

On the night of July 31, Russian forces launched a massive combined strike on Ukrainian territory, firing 35 missiles of various types and 185 attack drones. The main target of the strike was Kyiv and the Kyiv region. During the attack, Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down only one enemy ballistic missile – due to a critical shortage of interceptor missiles for the Patriot systems.

The number of people injured in last night’s ballistic attack by Russian occupiers on Kyiv has risen to 30. Nine people were killed, including a police officer who was on duty. Damage of varying degrees has already been reported in seven districts of the capital.

Over the past day, Russian occupation forces continued to launch massive attacks on populated areas in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The enemy used aircraft, heavy artillery, and various types of drones to strike civilian infrastructure and residential neighborhoods.
