On August 8, Russia struck the city center of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Nine people were injured in the attack, including four children.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia has established three rings of air defense around Moscow by deploying air defense systems from various regions of the country. At the same time, North Korea is gaining experience in modern warfare under Russia’s guidance.

The United States will supply Ukraine with interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense systems on a monthly basis.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems continue to systematically target vessels of the Russian Federation’s “shadow fleet” in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. During the first month of the special operation codenamed “MoLoChKa,” Ukrainian operators struck a total of 218 enemy vessels.

On the night of Friday, August 8, a 3-year-old boy, his grandmother, and his grandfather were killed when five Russian drones struck a private home in the village of Pukhivka in the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast. The child’s parents survived but were injured.

On the night of August 7–8, Russian occupation forces launched a combined strike against Ukraine, using six ballistic and anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 151 drones. Ukrainian air defense units managed to shoot down and neutralize 135 enemy UAVs, but were unable to intercept any of the six missiles fired.

Over the past 24 hours, on August 7, Russian occupation forces carried out 978 strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. As a result of the enemy attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district, there have been civilian casualties, including both dead and wounded.

On the night of August 8, in the city of Syzran in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation, a fire broke out at a local oil refinery following a series of at least ten explosions. The region’s governor officially confirmed that the industrial facility had been attacked by drones.

The Russian attack on the Kyiv region resulted in the deaths of three people, including a child born in 2022. There are also casualties and significant damage in the Brovary district.
