On the night of August 10, Russian forces carried out five strikes with guided bombs on civilian infrastructure in Sumy. At least five people were injured.

Acting Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga criticized UNICEF over reports of children killed and injured during the war in Ukraine and Russia. In his view, the organization’s wording creates a false impression of equality between the aggressor and the victim.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received reports from Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi and discussed Russia’s response to the strikes on Ukraine with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty.

Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Zhytomyr region, resulting in significant damage and destruction to the “Kromberg & Schubert Zhytomyr” plant. This civilian manufacturing facility, which is 100% German-owned, employs approximately 3,500 people.

On the night of August 8–9, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key Russian military targets in the south of the aggressor country and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The number of people injured as a result of the Russian strike on a residential high-rise building in the Saltivsky District of Kharkiv on the morning of August 9 has risen to 37. A large-scale search-and-rescue operation is continuing at the site of the strike.

On the night of August 9, Russian troops launched a massive combined strike against the Odesa region, which became the main focus of the enemy’s attack. The enemy fired several dozen ballistic, anti-ship, and anti-radar missiles at the region. However, air defense forces were unable to intercept any of the missiles fired.

On the morning of Sunday, August 9, Russian forces carried out targeted drone strikes on residential high-rises in the Saltivsky District of Kharkiv. Two people were killed in the attack, and 13 others were injured, with injuries ranging in severity.

On the night of Saturday, August 9, Russian troops launched yet another attack on Odesa. At least six people were injured. Damage to residential areas and fires were reported in several parts of the city.
